This stunning, colourful art print is by Brisbane-based Aboriginal Artist Leah Cummins.
"This piece is inspired by our tribes trading routes on country. Trading routes are what my people used to travel from one's country to another to trade goods. The lines connecting to the larger circles represent these paths crossing country for thousands of kilometres from the deserts, bush, rainforests, and sea. Today these are represented in out major highways that connect cities, but my people have been using these routes for over 80.000 years.
As a proud Mayi woman from North western Queensland I want to share my love of art and interpretation of empowerment of my people. I want to share this piece with love and harmony." Leah Cummins, Artist.
